All I was hoping for was an apology and maybe an admission that the saw was never fully tested before being sold to someone that admittedly has a hard time correctly tuning even well tested saws.

Instead Tim is trying to send Steven money in private......

It's not about the damm money.

I understand how you feel Randy, however Steven did get an apology directly from me. I obviously cannot come there and correct the problem myself so covering Steven's costs is the least I can do. And yes I did offer to pay for my mistake and Steven accepted. Did I run the saw extensively, no, only long enough to make sure it was running within reason. If what you want is a public apology to Steven, then you have it. Steven I apologize for not running the saw extensively after completeing the work.

This is all very interesting now, I must say.

At first I thought that was depressions in the cylinder head, so the solder didn't make sense - but now looking closer it looks like deposits or bits of metal.

So is the conclusion that solder was left inside? Is that indeed solder?

Yes it probably is solder I left in the saw, however Randy can confirm what it really is.

Yeah......it's solder.....and a bunch of it. Far more than is needed to get an accurate measurement.

The gasket was deleted......and the clearance was not nearly enough. I finally got a good measurement. It had .009 squish clearance.

The saw was thrown together, not tested, and sold for far more than it was worth.

If you get nothing else from this Tim......at least walk away giving a chit about what you sell, and who you sell it too.

Steven is not the only person that has told me they are not at all happy with a saw they bought from you.

Hey Randy. Did you ever get into the 262xp that I sold to Steven? I only started it once, to take a video for him before I shipped it out...

looks like some type of compression increasing agent, am i right?
it also doesn't look like there was any sealer on the base, is that correct?
I have two p and c sets for the 246, one was ported by ehp one is NOS. I bet you will go a different route on the porting. look forward to seeing how it runs after.
Randy will you share the stock and ported numbers you come up with in a pm please.

I've gotten two emails from people that were disappointed with saws you sold them since I started this thread Tim.

Should they post their grievances here as well?

I want to be a little careful posting, let's just keep to as calm as we can. I won't be deleting anything that was posted. A mistake was made and I believe your trying to work it out. Let just make sure the thread doesn't go crazy.

It ain't my call......it is theirs.

They seem to think you have some sort of control over this site, and how it is being ran.

Posts like this add to that I suppose.

Sounds like you are telling the mods what they should or should not do.....
