How about this kitchen. Not mine but lots of pans. I had some old ones that are huge. Gave them to my son who loves to cook for a crowd. I'll stick with the smaller pans. Just the wife and me now.
The only bad thing is I can't use my griddle/grill on my glass top. Its one of those 5 burner deals. Did not think about it when I bought it.
Let's see some pics This is my everyday arsenal. Good stuff from Wagner, Favorite, National, and Griswold. Always on the lookout. Got one of the #8s at Salvation Army a few weeks ago for $5. I had a nice Griswold #10, but I gave it to my sister. Gotta find another.... A couple of recent acquisitions A Griswold #11, for special occasions. It isn't here anymore. It is at the lake, where big groups are more common.
Hey Jeff T, In the second picture the skillet to the left. What can you tell me about the hammered finish? I have one like it but don't know anything about the maker.
I have no clue. It only has a couple of numbers on the bottom. It came from my wife's grandfather's house after he died. Her grandmother died at least twenty years before that, and I know he didn't have anything to do with it, so it's old. I've actually had it for about fifteen years. Just found it in the garage It is a mess. All those dimples are filled with crud. The inside isn't too bad, and it seems to be of decent quality. It isn't exactly a skillet. It's about 4" deep.
I love my cast!!!! SM, your my hero! I don't have that many, but I have a a few… I got a couple somewhere my daughter hid from me because they were too crusty.. Jeff, you have a good group up there, I love the griddle, I have a small round one.. I use mine almost daily
We went to some flea markets and antique shops today I was hoping to find some cast iron and I thought I had hit the mother load at one of the shops but when I picked up some of the pans they were really light and had Made in Taiwan stamped on the bottom There were a few decent American made pans but nothing special oh well maybe next time.
Matt, "anything" made in the USA is worth grabbing if it's cheap enough. There were a lot of unmarked castings out there that were very good! I'n my opinion, if you have the chance and they are cheap enough, grab them!
They were all in the $20-40 range Im looking for stuff that I dont have and a lot of the pans that were there I already have. Im specifically looking for sauce pots and a big cast iron cauldron.
I have a bunch I've picked up over the years. And i have a glass cooktop now. I am looking for a large dutch oven. I wanted the ones my uncle had when he died but I think either my aunt took them or someone threw them out. He had two 16" skillets and a 18 or 20". Never seen one that big before. I was bummed..

Every time I hit a flea market I troll for pans, dutch ovens and anything cast. Things are getting scarce Stang, I had a Griswold 14" years ago that my ex threw away, I wish I still had it. I never seen any much bigger than that, if you still had them, that would be something!$$$
yeah... bummed wasn't the word, but I couldn't get all mad. I got his 046 mag that I learned big saw skills with and the first two guns I ever shot, I jut hope they didn't get thrown out or scrapped. I've been looking for a large dutch oven for years, but I'm a cheapass. I also want a large something with deep sides for melting lead down. The junk SS and alum pans don't work well and I won't use a good pan for melting lead...
And another both pans belonged to my great grandparents but I don't seem to think either is old old. I think I remember when they bought them not sure why I remember it though.
Dave I picked up a 16" American Camper at a traveling tool show a decade ago - may not have been the "best" cast iron but it makes sweet homemade deep dish pizza. It's a heavy SOB
