To all of you who have served your country, Thank You. It is largely because of you that we have the freedom that we enjoy.
A big AMEN to this post! God Bless all who serve, but yes today is a special day for all you Veterans out there. For all you have sacrificed, a heart-felt THANK YOU from my household........
http://www.usatoday.com/story/money...eterans-freebies-military-free-meals/3469207/ To all the Veterans out there, past & present - THANK YOU. Lots of local places too - HyVee grocery store near me is serving free breakfasts,Applebees & Olive Garden restaraunts have free menu items & there's others I cant remember right now....Red Robin is also one of them...
You beat me too it! Happy Veterans Day and thankyou to all those who enlisted, even those that never saw combat.
My best friend... the guy who helps me cut and split even though he doesn't burn wood... the guy who works overnight shift the same place I work and often leaves a carafe of coffee on my desk in the morning... he was in the guard, was almost deployed three times, even made it to the airport once but never did deploy. In my eyes he is no less a veteran than anyone else. He was willing, it just never happened. And just so you guys know, it's a two way street. He does unskilled labor for me and I keep his vehicles running and work on his honey do list because he is the opposite of handy. When his dad was freeloading off of him, I took him in. When he was unemployed, I covered his half of expenses. He'll, I set him up with his wife. Anyway, good men deserve to be honoured.
Thanks guys, but lets keep this one about the Vets. I only addd that stuff because it was starting to read like i was taking advantage of my buddy. You can start another thread about how awesome I am.
first five minutes - NEVER forget it. on the yellow footprints, put your finger on any warts or sores on your head so the barbers can be sure to not miss them, bellybutton to butthole when in line. lol. thanks for the memory.
