I've seen some of the vids & looked at one at the dealer today. Thats probably the most bang for the buck you can get in a quality saw.

Well it only took forever to get a video lol... It is very very nice! The muffler is gutted and it sounds like a Harley up close and makes yours ears ring without protection. The saw cuts fantastic and has a ton of power to spare. I'm using a safety chain that came with it in the vid. It did pretty good for being an antiskip chain.

The hunters sure won't shoot you for a deer. Sounds like it has lots of power & good drop there.

That saw has some really really good torque! It is slightly slower response time than my 034 super was but has way more power in the wood. I think the 590 has a longer stroke because of the power when you sink it in the wood. I was using a safety chain that came on it too so I am gonna have to swap that off later this afternoon and record some cutting with a better chain.

I picked up a reconditioned cs590 recently. Best bang for the buck going IMHO. I ditched the timber pup bar for a Shindaiwa I got from jon1212 as a bonus with some other bars I bought. Anyway, that brought it to a more standard 72dl chain. Busted out some full chisel, pulled & trimmed the tabs. opened up the deflector and re-installed the screen. Then tuned it in the cut.

Dang thing just noodles like mad. Made these with the tuning cuts. Wish I'd thought to take vid of the noodling. It's ability to flow noodles was impressive! image.jpg image.jpg
I'd also comment that the beauty lies within the simplicity of the saw. Echo did a fine job of building a simple, powerful, serviceable firewood saw. More impressive, they did it the old fashioned back to basics way. No fancy bells and whistles really. You can buy them new for used ms290 money... Crazy.
