That's very impressive. Can't imagine how they got them so perfect that everything lines up from the perspective of the pic
When we lived in New Mexico there was a Pecan grove near me that would top trim every other row yearly (make sense?), and they used a huge machine that looked like it was based on a combine. These trees were probably 60 feet tall, and this machine had an articulating arm with a series of circular saw blades (4-5ft diam ea!) and they would drive down the row and slice off the top 8 or 10 feet of the tree and would look similar to that picture, not quite as precise. The owners would let people in to cut, with some of the parts as large as 5-6" diam, and great wood to cook with! All for free.
The trees on the plaza in front of the Eiffel Tower are trimmed up something like that. Sycamore IIRC.
I was wondering if that was in the US or not. I would like to see that as well as the perfectly trimmed tries Greg posted.
The picture made me think of the Versailles gardens in Paris, they have similar pruned trees there. Great place to visit.
