It never is easy losing a parent. I will say a prayer tonight for you and the family. Always remember the good times you and the family had. You never want to see any one suffer so sometimes it's better to let them go with out any pain.. God bless her and she will watch over you and the family...amen
Very sorry for a loss of a very special person, we've been through it so all I can say is, with time it gets easier. Our holiday day seasons for a few years were real tough.
I've lost a bunch of family members, but I think losing a mom is the worst. Or, maybe the ungoodest. On the upside, one of my daughters called today and asked if I'd like some company for a day or 2. She may come up early tomorrow to avoid a bunch of hunter traffic. She's not been here yet, so should be fun.
Mom's are tough to let go. I buried my Dad a few years back and afterword I felt like I wish I spent more time with him. Now I see Mom about 4 times a week she's 83 years old and been in the hospital a few times.
Dave, it's good that your daughter is coming to stay with you. Family support does help at a time such as this. Having lost both my parents I can understand many of the feelings you are going through right now. It does get better with time, and you will always retain the happy memories of her presence in your life.
If I time this right, I could meet her in Mio and let her follow me home. I need to pick up the T&G pine for the stove room tomorrow morning, so that may work. Just coordinated that with her....game on. WooHoo. Excited to see her, since the last time was at her wedding.
It happens to all of us eventually but it doesn't make it any easier. My sincere condolences to you Dave.
Hugs from your daughter papadave ... probably the best medicine, for both of you. Enjoy the time together...
Ive been away and missed this. Sorry to hear of your loss Dave. You and yours are in our thoughts & prayers.
