I tried them when I first got the stove, wasn't to fond of them. I'll trust ya and give them another shot. You can get them almost anywhere. HD, TSC, Walmart.

I am too. Is it me or do they seem a little ashier? Not that it matters in my stove, just an observation. There is a code in the upper left hand corner as you look at the bag. It says 06-13 with 02 underneath it.

I observed the same thing. Was going a week without anything in the burn pot, but now have some "burnt toast" in there on day 3. Will see what is it when I open another pallet up. Heat is about the same.

I'm burning the re badged TSC and noticed the code on these is 07-13 as I just opened my last bag, gonna have tp pick up some more. They are a bit ashy (dark ash too) but neither me nor the stove really cares as the heat is OK for the fall shoulder season.

I have the 6-13(pretty sure this is the date of bag printing) and they seem about the same ash wise as the 11 -12's I burned last spring. What I'm seeing is a bit less density and a tad lower heat. But still enough to keep the shack toasty. Sorry I didn't do a volume comparison(comparing in a measured container), I just checked the weight. Spring(11-12) was 0.43% and this fall(6-13) 0.46%.

I have a few of the TSC rebagged MWP's but haven't got to them yet.
