    God Bless all you vets......your service and sacrifice will never be taken for granted by this guy. I personally think that holidays for our military personnel should be more celebrated than they are.......the sacrifices made by them are why we have our freedom.......

    And a big thank you to the families and friends of veterans. My wife stood up to the plate and took charge when I was called off to duty. So did millions of others. Kids missed having one of their parents at so many special events. It wasn't easy then and isn't now. Please keep in mind that this is an ongoing issue. Freedom isn't free. The cost of freedom will continue to require sacrifice and support.

    Larry , I think he is leaning towards a 20 year stint, he's re upped 3 times which will give him 10 years 1/2 way home.
    He joined right out of high school, it's all he ever wanted to do was be in the Army. He sees his friends struggling in dead end jobs go to college ,but don't finish :( Very proud of what he has accomplished at a young age :D
    I will say it's a bit worrisome for the wife and I crazy times we live in. He was in Afgan, and Korea when things were tense there, but that's what they do so we can be Free :thumbs:

    When I was a little boy this was known as Armistice Day. I think it was Eisenhower who changed it to Veteran's Day.

    I hope his military job will help prepare him for a civilian job when he gets out. Mine opened the door for me.

    To all of our VETS, both past and present and their families, a BIG THANKYOU for your service and sacrifices to keep us free and democratic. Still am proud to this day that I had a chance to serve as well.
