    You just reminded me, I drove by a nice maple cut up by the road the other night, I was going to go back for it, I CANT REMEMBER WHERE now. Oh man, going to bug me all day...

    This is turrible

    Looks like Norway Maple. About 1/2 way between soft maple and hard. I'd give it a year; you might even be able to burn it next year if it's split small.

    You sure do get a lot of those roadside scores! The city is your forest! :tree: There just aren't many to be had around here, especially this time of year - everybody keeps it for themselves. Nice work! :thumbs:

    It sure is my forest. Nobody burns wood in the city so more for me :) ..

    My car is eqipped with wood sensors..it always steers me in the right direction..thanks Dave

    Good score I don't usually see wood lying on the side of the road around here, but I saw a big maple tree all cut down in a front yard the other day I stopped by and asked what they were going to do with the wood they said they were going to cut it up, put it in their stove and burn it, so that was a bust:(

    Was it dry you should of schooled them if it wasn't . It's gonna be a nice steam bath in there stove if it isn't dry

    No it wasn't dry , I assumed they were going to dry it first ,I didn't ask, I said, sorry to bother you have a nice day.

    Oh!! I had to ask it was a big tree 2 to 3 cords of wood there, I was excited until I got shot down :)
