Englander has some of the best customer service around. Drolet makes a great stove as well (SBI is the parent company and I own an Enerzone that they make).

Were you not looking at an insert? What are the size inserts are you looking at? The Englander 13 and what Drolet?

No worries Dex. This one is the second stove replacement for us, our new Eco-65 is great, our "furnace"and will heat 2/3 rds of our home. This one is an insert for far side of the house, the old BK insert is beyond our abilities to fix right now.
I did as much research as I could for an insert that would fit the FP dimensions then factored in the budget. (budget:bug: we are relining that slammer chimney too, $$$$). I am hoping we do not regret the small firebox, but have high hopes that with the extensive sealing/insulation/remodel we did this summer it might just work. Thanks :handshake:

What Drolet equivalent are you looking at (instead of the Englander 13)?

The Drolet Escape would be another option.

The englander insert is here! The delivery guys were young polite guys...... But it took them awhile to figure things out:zip: I brought out hubbys cats claw, dolly, and after they unboxed it I slipped the door off for them and took out the blower assy... Let them finish their discussion:picard:on how to get it in house.

The 13 insert looks a bit different than the free stander that I have. Air control is in a different spot and there's "vents/louvers" near the air control. Based on that, I'll bet the air enters the stove differently also.
