OK so the baby let us sleep till 9 something this mourning. Well after getting up at 5 to feed him. But when I was walking around the house I caught a glimpse out the window. We had about 3/4-1" of slushy snow on the ground!!! I heard the warning go out on my fire pager this mourning 6 something but assumed they were being cautious or talking about the northern part of the county! This is crazy I dont ever remember hearing of snow this early in the year. Last week or early this one we were 85 and will be 80s again next week but today we had wet snow and tonight will freeze!!! When was everyones first snow if you had one yet?
Nothing up here yet, just some small flakes today for a short time then it turned into some very fine rain for about 20 minutes.
We had a teeny bit a while back, but I don't remember the date. Got about 1/2" or so yesterday. Most of it is gone.
I should have gone outside for a pic but it had melted at the point I realized it was out there. Just looking at what was on the car.
It snowed pretty good here yesterday for a while. Nothing stuck around though. Just enough to weigh down the leaves that hadn't fallen and bring them to the ground.
Crazy clem. Like you guys it was hot as heck down here this week. I think we only made it down to 35 though this morning. It was around 45 when I got up and the wind has been howling all day
Had snow on the ground Sat morning too , was gone by noon , went out and did some processing , was 37, 24 now I still have some leaves on the oaks out back
Here it is 38 degrees and VERY windy.. The good news is my wood shelter tarp system is holding up well . The bad news is my riding lawn mower cover is gone and my mower is being pounded by wind and rain Edit: Just went out in the typhoon and found the cover(that saves me $40.00)! Yup it's soaked and so is the mower but I will dry both and secure the cover to the mower with a bungee cord once everything is dry this time! Ray
We had some heavy squalls last night, nothing stuck to the ground though. Just a teaser, but I'm ready nonetheless....
Right now it's 35 degrees with howling winds and snowing.. Update: It is now 32 degrees and snowing like crazy! Ground and riding mower covered with snow
We had a little snow friday less than 1/2 inch.I here some weather forecasters say because of how cold the great lakes were from last winter and still are .That we won't have so much lake affect snow here just cold temps.Its got to do with the temp of the lake I guess.
All day today that nasty wet sloppy snow, prolly not much here on the coast but inland as much as a foot. Wood is covered. I don't mind the snow so much, but it does mean the end of riding season I won't take the bike out again once the roads get treated
