Started off crisp because it was down to mid-20's overnight. Full sun all day for this ash to get cut ready for splitting. These logs have waited about a year and there is some evidence of areas turning punky. It was fantastic weather to use the saw. With the wood starting to "turn", there is some urgency to get the rest C/S/S real soon. We have several trunks too big for the MS290 18" bar so will rent something bigger. Working to get back to 3 years worth of stacks in the outdoor inventory. Gotta replenish what was put up for this winter's burning.
I dislike when the firewood starts getting punky, but I don't like covering, ........so there's that. Good job getting to that before it got too bad.

Ash is just a pretty darn good wood. Split great, burns even better. & it Looks great fresh cut, split & stacked
