I'm finally installing my Progress Hybrid tomorrow and have everything all set and ready to go. The stove is going in front of my fireplace with a tee connection to my flex liner I used for my Princess insert. The question I have is how do I connect the tee to the liner? I see three holes on the stove collar for the tee connection but there's no holes on the part that connects to the liner. Looks like the liner sets about an inch into the tee but I can't imagine you leave it unsecured, does anyone know how to do this? thanks
The liner should fit into the T fitting; not the other way. Don't quite know what you're asking.................can you post a picture??
Do you have a liner connector on the end of your liner or are you just inserting the liner into the tee? I think you need one of these.
I'm inserting the liner into the tee, is that an additional piece I could buy Todd and add it to the end of the tee that connects to the liner? Then again wouldn't that need to be riveted to the tee? Here's a pic of my tee
Most good stove shops should have connectors in stock, they run about $40 for the 6" size. Rivet the connector to the "T". In addition to the worm clamp I also rivet the flex-liner to the connector. KaptJaq

Flexliner has a tendency to rip at the rivets. The connector and its worm clamp hold it secure so it does not pull on the rivets. The rivets help so it does work out of the connector due to the expansion from heating/cooling cycles. Sometimes overkill isn't a bad thing. KaptJaq

I agree with KaptJaq that rivets will move with heating temperatures and it also will be more permanent and I dont think you want that either. The, as mentioned, clamp with a liner connector should do the trick. Or in some cases the "T" can have an option for a liner being accepted from the top and you would tie the "T" into the stove back last on an install.
As it turns out I had a liner connector that I must have took off when I took my other stove out, getting old I guess. So I installed that to the end of the tee with rivets, the only problem I have now is due to the shape of my flue the liner doesn't drop straight down but comes forward, anyone have an idea how I can remedy this? With a small 15 degree maybe?

Thanks for the thread weatherguy . We are relining too, I have most of the items ordered but not rivets..... Should I order them for my husband? The reline kit I ordered included item in the pic. Is this only for securing the insulation around the flexliner? Or should I rivets too? Or should I order different clamps?
I think mine came already riveted in my kit from chimneylinerdepot, but it was a few years ago and my memory isn't what it used to be. It may have been that my friend that helped me attached the liner connector when I wasn't paying attention. I'd wait and see what it looks like when you get it.
You could try that, it may work out. You need to figure in the length of that piece once you manage to move it to where it will work for you. If you can get to the stove shop and work the offset while you stand there and measure it, then you'll know. I'm not sure if you know how much room you need at the stove itself, you may want to measure before you go.
That's a good idea, I'm thinking of giving my friend a call to help finished this install, he has all these pieces in his van and can help connect this for me. Hopefully I'm burning this week sometime, its killing me to burn oil when I have a killer stove sitting in the family room cold.
Sometimes the final pieces of an install can be the most frustrating. At least you are getting it done and done the right way. If your friend is a professional and knows what he's doing then theres some piece of mind. Good luck and don't forget to document for the FHC crew!
