Split until the splitter ran out of gas Stacked the wood, made the cross stacked ends & a partial row. Then I ran out of gas. Today's progress: looking down : Couple pics from standing on top of the stack. Top of the stack is , 1/2 rounds, bark up :
BogyDave you get an A+ for presentation. The Physc evaluation for obsessive compulsive disorder is tomorrow morning at 9AM. Good work.
Man that stuff sure splits nice. I have adopted your way of leaning the top rows in. I thought you were who I stole the idea from.
Absolutely awesome pics Dave!! Your splits are always so consistent and stacks are perfect, you my friend have a lot of wood!! I would imagine your burning season is the better part of 8 months?
It's a thing of beauty... I think your tipped in row design is smart thinkin too.... You must almost be done for the year.
Looks good. One of these days I need to hear the rationalization behind stacking bark down. I missed that lesson.
Fantastic stacks! Mine NEVER look like that. Working on a big load of mulberry that a tree service dropped off. Nothing is cut square..... Lots of rhombus shaped splits. Not much straight grain at all. Photo is oak on the front covered porch.
If you look at the first pic, 4 ft in from left and up 2 ft from the bottom, you have a piece that's out of out if place. LOL!! Nice work Dave
Thats mulberry for sure, I love it but the way it grows in fence rows you get a lot of twisted gnarly splits
