Came home to find the house at 59 degrees so I used one of my firestarters and about 30 mins later it was 68 in here. Man this Drolet throws some fast heat!

That's such a good feeling, firing up the stove with the wood you've worked for and having the house toasty in short order. Nice one Adam.

Thanks Matt. This is our first year with fully seasoned wood so that helps too. It's nice and toasty in here.

59 to 68 is a really nice jump. It's a great feeling to watch the temp go up without using any foreign/fossil fuels.

Fed the stove and dampered it down at 9PM last night before bed. At 6PM tonight when I went to relight, the Drolet was still warm!

I am pretty sure there are better stoves out here, but this one is no slouch!

Started off this afternoon with a load of poplar. Took the house from 66 to 71 in the living room. I was still a little chilly in my office, so I decided to toss some maple on around dinner time. 81 in the living room now! Oops! ;)

Your lighting up at 60 degree's?

Wow, I don't think I can do that. If I lit up the stove with anything more than a piece of supercedar, I'd have to get out of the house!

But I just herd this weekend is going to change! Cold on the way

Is that the stove you had right along, or did you change it out? Can't recall except to remember you were doing a lot of cooking on it.
