Do y'all include the "chunks, uglies and cookies" in your SWAG/guestimate for your total wood??

Not too many folks take them immaculate pictures of their "above quoted" wood. I do include it when to LIE about how much wood I have.

Between 6-7 full cords CSS now!!

Mine goes primarily for the BBQ and kindling, anything left goes on top. But doesn't get counted.

Some of my uglies go on top of my stacks especially if they will fit half decent in the stove so I guess I count them. I also have a pile of the real uglies that I burn in the pit and no they do not get counted in the hoard.

Most of my wood comes log length. There aren't too many shorts or uglies in that. Got some other tree guys to get cut rounds from. They tend to yield a lot. I try to use the snot to mound up the stacks so the tarps will shed water.

I might measure it up when I stack it and let the uglies figure in but I burn it by the row. 3-4 14' rows per winter depending on how high I stacked it. I ain't paying for it so does it really matter how much it is? And it shrinks as it dries so if I did have 12 cords last spring I don't have it now.

I stack mine in has I go so yea it gets counted. Some of my stacks are not the prettiest though. I try to stack so they lean back a little anyway.

A lot of my wood came from a tree service, lots of chunks and uglies. I got tired of dealing with them while stacking so I made a uglies bin as part of my woodshed, so yes they get counted. Here is the bin during shed construction, holds about 2 cords.

I am cutting dead standing red oaks most of them 8" or less not many uglies in that small of a tree. But what I do have gets split as small as I can and goes in the stacks with everything else.

I don't include them but I must have close to a cord right now, I made pallet boxes and have 3 filled. I'll use them in shoulder season but I find I use them more towards the end of burning season more than at the beginning.

    I don't cause I don't get very many
I use a magnetic measure stick I can't remember the name of it but it helps abunch
If I do get ugly stuff that won't stack it gets thrown on top of pile but there isn't much of those at all

I only include what I burn in shoulder season. From the same shoulder wood pile I use that for camping and the firepit too.

If they get stacked, they get counted. I dont end up with a lot of uglies, because the majority of my stuff all comes from forest grown trees. If they're real bad, they'll go on top, but a few here or there can come in handy to help level out an uneven stack.
