Well, since I'm in a land far far away where it never snows and the low temps in the winter are regulated by tropical Pacific waters, I had to find another way to get my wood stove fix. Got the wife to build a fire and allowed me to spend some time checking on the Buck 81 from 7000 miles away.. My stove and I will be together again soon.. Until then, at least we get to see each other on occasion.. I don't even want to talk about my ongoing symptoms of CWS (Chainsaw Withdrawal Syndrome)..
Yeah.. that's what I said.. Trying to teach the better half the difference between the lighter woods like red maple and pine and the oak that we need for wintertime. Only have 2 cords for this winter and don't feel like burning through the oil. First year with the stove. So far, she's doing a great job. No problems getting the fire started, so wood seems to be dry..
My stove and I are counting down the days until the freedom bird brings me home.. Oh yeah, wife and kids are looking forward to my return too..
Dr., dr, gimme the news, I got a bad case Of wood burner blues. No Skype gonna' cure my ills, I got a bad case, Of wood burner blues AWHOAA, ohhhhh
PFFT wife and kids ! Hug the wood pile first in fact they should bring an ambassador piece of wood to the airport when you get home to greet you ! PS Thanks for your service brother !
Thanks Pete... That is a good idea for the ambassador piece of wood... however........ I don't want to reduce my capacity in the D'max should I run across a scrounge on the way home..
Okay..... I finally go that.. Yeah, initially went over my head.. I thought you were talking to me.. and that I was going to have to break the terms of my agreement, then I realized that you were quoting me, talking to my wife.... Funny when things get lost in translation.. Back to your regularly scheduled programming!!
