Scrounged a shipping pallet at work and turned it into a sawbuck. All of the wood was from the pallet. I have about 4 dollar in it, for bolts and screws. I did mess up by not keeping the legs in order. I spaced the sections so I can cut 16" pieces. image.jpg image.jpg

Whenever I try to break apart a "pallet", the wood splinters and breaks apart. Partly due to the ring shank/cement coated nails used to make them.

How do you keep your chainsaw bar from binding when cutting on this buck???

Looks like the bar would pinch as you near the bottom of your cuts.:smoke:

Very nice saw buck! I have made my share of them but not that nice...

I never have had an issue with binding the saw. All you need to do is cut close to one side and it rolls off the buck or drops where its at.

I've made a bunch if stuff lately from pallets. Sometimes the boards do break, so at times I'll take the circular saw and cut along the runners. This one came apart really easy because it was made out of all 2x4's.
