    Thanks for the welcome Chvymn99. NYCountry, I buy mine (oak) by the log truck load every year and I would guess there's 6 or 7 full cords there. No where I know around here to get free wood and to be honest it's so much easier to avoid the falling, limbing and trucking and just get it delivered in eight foot lengths. $900 this year.

    Great looking stacks Chief, I can see why you hate to pull from them! And great dog and name! Buddie was the name of my first dog when I bought my own house, he was the best dog I ever had! It's funny how the dogs love to help with the wood, my dogs love to jump into my DR power wagon when I'm moving wood. :D

    Yes, our dogs seem to know the wood operation is going to keep them warm this winter. At least mine do. My Oggie, who passed away last November after 14 years with me, helped me even at the end, when she could hardly get around. Loved that girl more than myself.
