Up for grabs is a decent looking Stihl 076 powerhead. Nice running saw, excellent compression. Starts, stops, runs, and cuts. I made a couple cuts with it, seems to be a good runner. It is an older saw that may or may not need a little attention. I would rebuild the carburetor for starters, I know this saw hasn't been used much in recent years. I think it should have a good checking over. Only thing I noticed, is that I feel a light "shock" when I touch the handlebar, don't know why... may be a loose ground of sorts? Would make a good milling saw on the cheap, I think it makes pretty impressive power. Priced to sell quick, I have pretty close to this in it. I put a new Stihl fuel cap on it, the old one was holding pressure. Pretty decent looker, small hole in clutch cover and missing the infamous muffler cover. Cant beat it for $345 bucks plus ship. PHO, bar and chain stay with me. Pics uploading...
Definitely a good deal there! Where else are you gonna find a saw that size, in that shape, at that price?!!?!
Hoping to send this one down the road, a couple Homelites, a Pioneer, and that black Craftsman you ran. Come on down bro, I will load ya up!
What Homelites Nate? If you ever find a 750 through 1050. Give me a holler. What kinda Homelite you got to sell Carbine?
Carbine I'll trade you 2 woodsharks, 1 wild thing, and 1 safest chainsaw in the world. 4 for 1. You'll make out like a fat rat.
Will have to look, have a ton of different ones in different stages of being able to be ran. Plenty of Husqvarna, McCulloch, Partner, some Poulan, lots of oddball stuff... bow saws, electric saws, 2 man, old 50s-60s heavy as hell saws, etc. Mostly just finding time to dig through the piles though. Picture the TV show Hoarders but with chainsaws and other small engines/parts.
Derail away buddy! I figured this old hog would be gone by now, just waiting on someone to get back with me.
I'm in the final stages of getting my 076 fired up. Mild port work, base gasket removal, and a wicked-azz DP muffler.....stay tuned. Carbine, I finally had a chance to run that Dolly, love it buddy.....carved a couple pumpkins with it after I modified an old (and I mean OLD) Remington bar to work on it.....I'll get you some cash this week buddy. Been burning the candle on both ends.....
50 bucks? Ones I see on feebay that run good & are complete normally go for $150 + shipping.Even the basket case non running ''parts saws'' are getting $50.
Wish there was a double like button bro. I hope that saw blesses you and the work that comes your way. Wish you were closer, would be happy to lend a hand anytime. You are a good guy in my book, no matter what Dex said! Jkjk
