Click on "Alerts" and it just opens a box but never loads anything. Does this on 2 computers and my phone so it's not a software issue on my end. Quotes is screwing up too. Click quote, box opens with nothing to type. Start typing, get 20-30 seconds in and then the quote shows up, but it puts it in the middle of what I typed!
These are both symptoms of slow internet. It's either the load on our end or the slow speeds on your end.
I forgot to mention it's on my home internet, the shop internet as well as the 3G cell internet. Been like this for the last week at least. I left the alterts box to load on my home computer, came back 10 hrs later and it was still loading! Not a bitch on my part, just an FYI for the boss man running the show.
Dunno, I'm not making it up just because I have nothing better to do. The Alerts doesn't load up, it acts like it will, but it doesn't. The internet out here is 700 something k, so it's not like we are on 14k dial em up or something crazy like that. I'm on several other forums, some use this software, and it's just this one site. Is the server on the east coast, would that be it? Being far away = info is lost?? I'm not up to speed on how this all works so maybe you guys are laughing at what I just wrote..? haha. The quotes thing is a PITA since it's hard to move text around on the phone to fix it. Lately I've just kept typing and sent it... "tough crap".
Clem has had the same issues and it mainly do to slow speed. There is an app you can download for your phone and run a test. It's called "Speed Checker". Download it, then take a screen shot and post it here. As for quotes. The way around it, is to type what your going to type. Then select the quote and wait for it to load.
I have that issue occasionally but its always when I'm on 3g and don't have a great connection. As soon as I have a good signal or wifi its working great. I would also lean towards the fact that it is your internet speed.
