My mom got this for my 2yo's birthday. Very realistic toy. I think it would look good on the saw shelf next to its big brothers. Complete with scabbard, manual, extra chain, wrench, and tool pouch. I might keep it.
It idles when you pull the working starter rope. When you pull the trigger it revs and the river chain spins. The air cleaner nut is a volume control (priceless) that turns all the way off, but still does everything else. Oh and the on/off switch is the on off switch. Pretty nicely done.
Those things were rather expensive at the Stihl dealer. Much more so than the Husqvarna one. Seems like I remember them being around $100 at the Stihl dealer I went to. But on the Internet Stihl site they are only $35.95. I was going to buy one for my grandson as they were such good looking toys but opted to buy the Husqvarna one for $34.95 instead which is not nearly as nice.
probably 2.5354 oz. lighter too...sorry walleye lol. Believe me I'd take a 550xp 555 or 562xp anyday of the week!!
That's a very cool toy! I'm sure he loves it and wants to be just like Dad!! A buddy of mine (member Joshmain) bought one for his son. As you said, it is very realistic. A lot of thought went into that little bugger. Pics of the boy with the saw are a must!! Or better yet, pic of the boy and his father! With your toys!
