Talked to a pellet dealer today from Wisconsin Rapids, WI. He sells a local pellet from Rib Mountain Bio in Wausau, WI. I've never used 'em… the 80/20 hard/soft blend is $210.00/ton delivered… the pine softwood is $240.00 delivered. Sez the price just went up $12.00/ton and will go up again in two weeks. He told me he ordered 1000 tons for this week and got 300... He also sells Lumberjack which I have used… $230.00 delivered for those IIRC. Krooser, I don't know how much you're planning on buying, but I think this is a case of getting whatever the wallet can bear. Otherwise, I'd probably a split order of 1/2 softies and the Lumberjack. Maybe also get 5-10 bags of the hard/soft blend to test out?
I want three tons… gotta wait until I close a deal on an old Pontiac I have in stock. One of my secondary sources isn't selling pellets this year. He sold the Lumberjacks last year IIRC. Said there's too much hassle getting them to fill his orders then try to find a truck to haul 'em.
