Someone mentioned I hadn't posted pics of my build, so in order to prove I did that, here we go.
I suppose I could just post a pic of the finished product, but what fun would that be, eh?
March 28th- 2010, and the posts are in. It took several days for the ground to thaw enough for this to happen.

April fools day got the front header put up. I built this from rough sawn 1x pine double thickness and staggered the joints. Glued and screwed.
It's 18' long and if memory serves it's 8" (true) in width.

The posts are 4x4 and anybody who's used these know how they like to bow and twist and generally just make your life miserable.

    From the opposite side.
See those stacks? Notice the tarps. I no longer deal with those getting 1.5' of snow on top, getting wet, leaking, freezing to the wood, allowing the wood to get wet and then freezing.
The shed is 10x16' outside, and is about 1/2" out of square. No string lines, just my tape measure and a bunch of eyeballing. :binoculars:

April 5th, I went to HD and got the 2x6 for the roof. Had a sammich, planning to put those up the next day, but went out and cut birdsmouths on both ends and nailed 'em.
Took this first pic from the front porch....yeah, it's that close. The stove is to the left just inside the door about 6'.
If I had it to do over, I'd have gotten 12' 2x6 for the roof to make a longer overhang.

So, the original plan was to use rough sawn 1x for the roof, then shingle with leftovers from the house the previous year.
That would have taken too long, so I made an executive decision to just do OSB, tar paper, then shingle.
But first, I put up a few boards on the back wall spaced about 1/4" (this later got changed to 1/2")
    IMG_3862resize.jpeg .
Took until 4-22 to get the OSB and nail it down.
I also discovered the structure was a little wobbly when I was up there. Time for bracing.

I've got some more pics, but I need to dig through some folders to find those.
However, I'm off to sleepy land.
I'll post more tomorrow when I find more.

Anybody put the clear corrugated plastic on for a roof for a little more heat?

I like how you first stacked the wood, then built the shed around it. This saves having to carry the wood into the door of the shed!!!

Great looking woodshed. I like the ideas you used on your build, I may take some of that and incorporate it into mine next year.
