After a nice family lunch for my brother in laws' bday, dad and i fired up his ol splitter and we got to work. That pile's about 5ft high and 15ft long. It's great being able to spend as much time as i do with him. It's a mix of oak, locust, mulberry, sassyfrass and poplar. Think that covers em all :axe:. Oh and cherry!

Awesome looks great! I love cutting wood with my dad. I was out there at his place today planning the cutting for this winter. Man do we have a lot of work to do.

Glad you could spend time with your Dad....enjoy every moment, just like kids growing up so fast and they are gone. I spent time with my Dad on Saturday. He is 89 and now has to use a walker to get around which even that is hard for him. I was doing some wiring in their garage while he sat and carried on small talk. Soon he said I better get back to the house.....it really bothered me for a while because he didn't hang around too long but after some thought I realized he was bothered more, because he couldn't be right in the project with me, God love him.

That is so good to hear you talk about wanting to spend time with your parents. I also like to spend time with my adult children. They all have kids and kid teens to take care of so our time seems to be spread thin. Time passes so fast now.

It's great being able to spend time with my dad. Split a load of elm I gave him a few weeks ago, he ran the lever. Good times.

I'd give just about anything to have my Dad back so I could spend time like this with him. Glad you could enjoy the time together.

I never take the time we spend together for granted. My parents only live a few miles away but my dad owns the property next to mine (where my grandparents used to live) and works on his equipment and other toys there. So we see each other almost every day. Sometimes its just passing in the driveway and sometimes its hours workin together on one of his projects or splittin wood. Either way Im so grateful for the time I get to spend with him.

For sure enjoy being with family. We have two sons. One lives over 600 miles east of us and the other a little over 700 miles west. Difficult to get together with this.
