I've been gone for over a week, so the house is pretty cool. I'm a niggardly type person, so I throw a sweatshirt on. It's 65 outside and 59 inside.................. but it's rainy damp and I don't want the dampness in the house, I'm a bit chilly, so I fire up the 13NC.

I got some kiln dried timbers from a neighbor that I cut to length. Oak I think............either way, they didn't take long to get ripping with a 1/4 of SuperCedar. First small load got the house to 63. After the reload; I didn't check until the following morning/today, but the thermostat was reading 71.

That's a bit warm for me.................but it is what it is. Stove ran great.

I did that yesterday. Gone for a long weekend, came home to a 60° house with 70° outside. I took one split and made a bunch of 1" square sticks and burned them. House topped out around 72°, 71° when I got up at midnight to go to work.

I've been having little take the chill off fires for most of this month so far. If its below 70 in this house it feels chilly so a small fire in the evening does the trick.
