My old over worked under powered compressor gave up on me in the spring. Since then I have been limping along with my gas powered compressor. Well I got serious about finding a replacement in the last few weeks and happened upon this one on clearance at TSC. $399 normally $479. It is more than I need really but cost less than the one I was thinking of buying. I don't know if this clearance sale applies across all TSC stores or not.
Always nice to be over spected. Nice to have that extra cushion in case you want to do something you were not able to do before.
I'm sure it's 240v being he lives in the US and not Europe I have a similar unit and it's almost not enough compressor when running a die grinder or sander, and very much not enough with a pot sandblaster. I put mine in the back shed, buried a 1" line (or maybe it's 3/4", been a while) and piped it to the garage into a 30 gal tank. Don't have to hear the compressor running and it doesn't take up space.
Nate is right about the die grinder and sander. I have used the same compressor in the past with both and it can't keep up for long. A 3/4" impact wrench is the biggest thing it is going to run with any regularity.
