Dropped and bucked 13 cherry trees the other afternoon, most were around 12-18" DBH, 40 to 60' high. Had to climb two of them, one needed topped and the other needed rigged due to powerlines. Good afternoon of running the saws! Before.....notice the lines..... Love power lines! NOT. After....all we were instructed to do was drop them and buck them....we were nice enough to pile all the rounds when we finished up. Wasn't much in the way of branches on these trees anyway!
That's a lotta trees in 2 hours! If I get 1 per hour out of the woods, I'm cruising! Nice work Scotty!
Just one other guy. He's my one cutting partner, we've been doing this for years so we got it down to a science...lol This job was particularly nice because we didn't have to clean up a single thing. In and out, wham BAM.....
No, homeowners FIL has an OWB so they kept the wood. There was a couple dump trailer fulls laying there in a pile when we were done!! All primo cherry!
Aw, fiddlesticks. Oh well, you've probably got a buttload of Cherry already. I trust you lectured him on the importance of burning dry wood. I covered him on that end....but it was Cheetos and I was sitting at the computer desk.
Finished up that big maple we've been working on too (the one with all the power lines through it). Got the trunk down and cleaned up last night. Getting ready to deliver the entire tree to a guy I work with in trade for some antiques. .....
