I won't be posting my annual picture this year in front of my patio stack. My friend crossed the rainbow bridge. This is an older picture.
Hate seeing this. Took me over 20 years to want to get another dog after the loss of a beloved one. It’s hard. Sorry for your loss.
Condolences Locust Post it is my opinion that more people should emulate their dogs. In most cases it would make the world a better place.
Every single time without fail, whenever I see things like this I have a moment and get choked up. Deepest condolences to you on the loss of your best friend.
Such sad news. I know how it hurts. I still haven't gotten over our last loss. You can find solace in the fact that a well loved pet as yours had a happy life!
It has been an emotional rollercoaster since Friday. The house seems so empty. Has been many tears shed. It came up so fast is why it seems so difficult. Piper went from having some trouble getting up the steps to almost not having use of his back legs in a week's time. Thank you all for the kind words and thoughts.
A few years back my wife lost her dog, her friend and camping buddy. That dog slept closer to her than I did. On some nights they shared a pillow. Her name was Sadie. She was around 8 yrs old when she started having similar problems. My wife was inconsolable for days maybe weeks. I didn’t think she would get another dog, but she brought home another dog one day. This dog does not get to share our bed, but my wife found another friend that she loves. The new dog lives to play frisbee every day with me. I don’t always want to play frisbee, but I see the pure frikin joy bordering madness that dog gets from fetching and destroying a frisbee, so I throw a frisbee. I never wanted to be attached to another animal. Hopefully when enough time has passed you can find another friend also.
