I can relate my friend! :pain:

Loaded a half cord and stacked next door in the bundle shed. Came back to the wood yard and loaded the half cord for delivery tomorrow that I have to stack as well.

Do you have to stack any deliveries?

Strictly dump and go with 1 cord. I will stack lesser amounts if it’s direct unload to storage.

Goodyear was running a 30% off special so I pulled the trigger on a set of Kelly AT’s. Install next week.

New tires just in time for winter  Are you hoping to bag a few more firewood logs from the upcoming storm or are you hoping it dissipates by the time it brushes by you?

I need to get at least an inch from this system. Planted trees all week in anticipation including 6 25g Hophornbeams.
Everyone is saying the nino will make lots of snow this winter.
Unfortunately it looks like the mountains is going to get the heaviest rain

Watching the weather channel and I see both you and Chud are getting rained on pretty good? Any threats of flooding? Hows the wind factor?

Wind is not bad and we have not gotten much rain yet, but enough to put the brakes on processing and delivery.

We were far enough away, so just some strong breezes and some rain. A few small limbs down in the road this morning. I've seen a lot worse thunderstorms. May have some heavier rain later this morning as the outer bands pass through

Been raining good here all day, started very early AM. Cant complain, we’ve been very dry here lately.

I get a bit more than 3! Felling/bucking, loading/unloading, splitting, stacking, then loading in trailer to move indoors, unloading into basement, stacking. Makes me wish I would have went with an outside boiler to start. o_O

Looks like they will do well cleaning up leaves. First time having AT’s I could feel the vibration
I will miss the buttery smooth ride. It was the best riding vehicle I’ve had, but yall already knew that about Chevy.

I made 3 deliveries today. 2 Tacomas 1 F150. 2 regs and 1 new. I’ve got to learn to say no to new.
When I got home I cut up some Red Oak, Hickory and the Sycamore trunk. First time noodling Syc. It jammed up the 462 like no other. Tomorrow morning it will be breakfast and loading the dump truck. I haven’t made it to Halloween yet and I’m ready for a break in the action. Been burning straight cherry for a week and it’s done a dern good job keeping the house warm. The cherries gone so it will be pine next week. If I can get some logs moved/processed I can get to the Sassafras. :stacker:

Its not easy as I've turned a couple good referrals away. Probably wont have enough dry for my regulars during the Winter.

I have one regular being a PITA and I'd like to get rid of him. Three times he said yes to having me drop a load of green/semi seasoned for him to dry on his back patio as it gets lots of sun, then says no. Runs out of wood and expects me to drop everything and deliver. Doesn't have cash when I deliver. Makes me stop by later for it as he is a half mile from me.

It’s ok to fire customers. Make them wait if he wants it last minute. Raise your prices for them. Be adamant about getting paid before the wood leaves the truck. And if all else fails, tell them they aren’t worth the hassle and why.

This morning I’m delivering to a guy that ghosted me on Sept 25. Next year I will tell him I’m not selling anymore.

He is a loyal regular, but I don’t like anyone messing with my limited time. On the 25th he could have said something’s come up can I reschedule. I dropped the tailgate and he started grabbing splits and I said Nooo I’m not touching this wood again. First time buying a cord so I guess he didn’t know my truck had a hydro dump.
