We're pretty much at peak color of foliage

Sun low on horizon, backlighting trees along the driveway

Some trees are past the peak, some aren’t there yet, but averaged out this is as good as it’s going to get this year. Not a bad year at all.

Not a single flower. No foliage. Hoping spring will be different. I dug out various daffodil bulbs from where they could have been in danger at the bottom of the driveway. I should have counted, but didn't. Guessing 50-60.

There's a small bed by our main doorway. Before the vole invasion a few years ago, there were tulips and clumps of crocus in there. Just memories now. Time for new ones.

I dug the area yesterday. Loosening soil and amending. All raked out and waiting.

After putting in the bulbs, it didn't look all that different.

All mulched, watered and protection returned. Nothing but good vibes, get past these guys.

I can't locate a new pot for my Ficus tree. It was an older faded plastic pot when it came to me in 2006, now it's brittle and saucer is cracked. I ordered 2 of the below, one for tree and one for the saucer. Going to try to cut the second on off about 1/3 from the bottom then find some rocks or something to elevate the pot till the taper is wider than the pot bottom. I'll try the cut with a soldering iron, wish me luck ;)
