Stock up, it can sit on the shelf. I bought 5 gallons of bar oil and 4 gallons of 2 stroke oil. Also bought several gallons on oil for the truck and Skidsteer and a few gallons of 10-30 synthetic for all the small engines. Might grab some more even. It won’t go bad in the jug, better to have it.

Which roofing adhesive or are you joking?

Friend of mine asked me to dispose of some drain oil (I haven't yet) and if I can use it for the bars why not.

Used oil has carbon particles in it that will eat up the oilers on newer saws. Old saws with the manual oilers might be ok...

I've got 5 gallons of good ol Countyline sitting on the shelf. At 5.99 a jug on sale, you can't beat it. I am a fan of the orange bottle Stihl stuff, need to go nab a couple gallons of that

Im crossing my fingers for a 5.99 deal, but current oil prices probably would not support that.

I'd be surprised to see anything under $6 anytime soon but maybe TSC and RK will have a price war.

I grabbed a 2.5 gallon jug for $14 on clearance. Should have grabbed more but trying to figure out how to pour that jug into saws. I think a refillable bottle will be best that holds about a quart, and has a spout. Sort of like the old 1qt gear oil bottles.

My wife uses large Dawn squueze bottles, I think they are a quart. Instead of recycling it.. Reused it works great for bar oil

I somehow let it get lost but a wooding treasure I used to have was a Quaker State Bar Oil quart bottle that was just a relabelled gear oil bottle but was printed, not a label. Was given 3 or 4 of them back when I was starting off my sawing 'career'.

A lot of folks like to use old detergent bottles for their oil. I use a little on/off spout to reduce spills but it doesn't thread onto on some of the jugs. Works fine on the standard square type.
