I ain't going this year, but considering next year. Candyland for me, though I can mostly only look and tire kick. The list of exhibitors is unbelievable and they have demos outside. Equip Exposition | The International Landscape, Outdoor Living and Equipment Exposition
That looks like a great time. But $60/$120 admission? Wow! I wonder what they charge the vendors? Somebody's got a cash cow there.
As far as I can tell there are no 'civilian' tickets. You may attend as one, but you have to pay industry entry fee. To be honest they probably don't want schlubs like me breathing up all their good air, but are willing to admit us for a fee. I can use my work creds if necessary....we got a equipment rental.
The heck of it is, if I were closer I would probably try to attend too. It just looks like so much to see! When I said I wonder what they charge the vendors, what I meant was, I wonder what they charge for display/booth space? That's usually what pays the bulk of the costs at most similar expos, at least the ones I've attended.
I have a friend who started a wildlife feed company last year. I thought Bunyan would be an excellent place for him to sell his wares. They are getting $1600 for booths there (way too high for him), so I figure it'll be to the third or fourth order at least at Expo. There's a gigantic 'concrete show' out in Vegas every year, I know because of my work's rental. I think it's industry only. Some of these conventions don't want the 'bother' of homeowners or consumers. I get it, but they should probably do *2 shows then? We plebs tend to buy lots of 'industry' products.
