Life keeps happening and that 4 cord are not at my house yet I was chatting with the nephew and in my redneck answer said I will just go rent a U-Haul and grab it… Unk I have Friday off he drops this off at my house tonight after work 8x16x 6 wood will be getting stacked tomorrow
Well 2 cord of maple beech and yellow birch stacked of course there’s always a to be split more pile but the cooler weather is motivating
All split and stack 2 nd row finished (1and1/2 cord per row) start of 3 row will be finished with ash next weekend.. done splitting and stacking time to run saws
Dennis, you know this house and my stove, I have never used over 5 cord; but I have close to 8 around house just in case. Better to have it and not need it then NEED it and not have it!! even though my screen pic will get me to wood pile Walking in knee deep snow is too hard!!
Well since out back storage is 200 yards from behind garage breezeway I used wheelbarrow that has hydraulic and 55 HP About 1/2 cord moved and restacked burning mostly ash this year probably 5 more days like this will geter done. 51° degrees lots of sun no sweat and no bugs 7 days of sun so busy brush hogging firewood got postponed until today as days are getting shorter and so are my abilities BUT having fun
Well the nice weather is holding so moving this years wood the 200 yards to behind garage then stacking next load and top covering when done This is ash maple for 27-28 faster drying wood looks better stacked behind garage hold 6 cord heavy Next to house holds 1.5 heavy so by finish if normal year; usually burn 4+ cords 2 years around house and working on 3 rd year to be on Dennis’s plan.. as for the Dog; he is like me big headed goofy male that would rather have love then fight! Chased a 40 pound coon away it got to close to his girls. Forgot to drop nerf ball in his mouth and bumped it a few times Because we have eagles, coy dogs, bobcats and fox and now apparently bear. I like dogs that are not mistaken for a food source. a few smaller dogs have attacked him; he backs up til he can’t and usually knocks them with that bowling bowl head of his. The shepherd would snap their neck and kill them, unless they ran away.
