    The saw came with a 18-inch bar and Oregon 95, .325", .050", 72 DL chain. I'm not familiar with that chain. The bar and chain are kind of rough. I have a 16-inch bar and a few H21, .325", 058", 66 DL chains. I'd like to put that set up on this saw.

    I got a oil pump for a 350 and it won't engage the worm/pinion gear that is on the saw.

    "Four stroking" is caused by having enough, or at some point, too much fuel...lean acts totally different...often times lean saws will "hang" a little when you let off the throttle (not idle down, at least not right away)

    We were talking about tuning the high jet at WOT out of the cut. Some saws don't start 4 stroking at WOT, they just stop accelerating and sit there screaming at an RPM that is lower than specified for a properly tuned saw. Some of these saw models are supposed to be tuned for very high RPM. The tach lets you adjust that high jet to hit the number without sensing a four stroking sound that often just doesn't exist.

    When you let off the throttle you are living in the slow jet's territory.

    They can run lean or rich depending on where the diaphragm is when it gets stiff. Sometimes they are held up in the air and won’t flex enough to hit the lever, sometimes they stiffen in the down position and hold the lever wide open all the time and will make it so you can’t tune it lean enough

    Correct. Could also be (usually) from having the H jet a little bit lean and it heated up the cylinder more than normal. L jet could be set perfectly once it cools back down

    The opposite of that ^ can also happen. Many times people have the H set so rich that the saw will die when they pull it out of a cut, so they adjust the L screw. When in actuality the H jet has flooded everything in the bottom end and the saw can’t burn enough of it at idle
