I didn't repeat myself, just the Echo's CS 2511 top handle popped up on FBM. BARELY used and at a really good price. Checked sellers other items and another Echo...CS620P a bit more used and a great deal at his asking price. Has a 28" bar too. I made an offer for a package deal and he accepted. Met up this morning for the deal.. Tried the 2511 out briefly at storage later and what a little terror! I was VERY impressed for a 25cc saw. I almost bought a 2511 new a few years back (pre Covid) when the Echo rep was at a local OPE dealer and was offering specials. Maybe less than $400 out the door IIRC. Its over $600 now. Having heard guys on here rave about them it piqued my interest. Most used ones I see are over $400 and noticeably used. Wishing the 620 had a shorter bar. Will a Stihl bar fit? Ill try it out next week with the long bar and after I sharpen it. Pic upload from Eric Wanderweg
Stihl bars won’t fit without adapter IME , Stihl are usually 12 mm bar studs and echo are 9mm IIRC go to stahls and order a bar chain combo easily enough
I like Echo a lot. I haven't tried a chainsaw yet, but brush cutter, pole saw and backpack blower are real good! Eager to hear your opinions on those two saws.
Yes, you can run the large mount (12mm stud) Stihl bars on the 590/620. You just need an adapter, not sure if Mike Homelite410 is on here, but I’ve bought all of my bar adapters from him for multiple saws. The adapters, chain vice’s Mike makes are top notch, he’s a great guy to deal with.
I’ve missed several 200T’s over the years. Having seen what a ported 2511T does, it almost defies physics. It’s on my short list of saws to snag if the opportunity presents itself.
Sorry for the delay, it’s been a busy day for me too. Apologies in advance for the thread hijack but I hoarded a new truck today
He had other Echo stuff for sale. Back back blower, pole saw etc. He would've thrown the pole saw for more of a deal. I considered it but for the price it wouldn't get used a lot and I'm content with my Dewalt 20 volt. I have an Echo hand held gas blower and love it. Third or fourth I've owned of one. Used til it dies or falls off the roof. Mid level model I presume. I made a few cuts with the 2511 at the woodyard this afternoon and was VERY impressed!
SWEEEEEEET! You mush be Have you spilled any two cycle in it so it to remind you of the old one? Thanks for the posting and easy to distinguish a pic from my phone vs. yours.
Worthy of its own thread my friend. At least post it in the "wood related scrounges without the wood" thread Congrats on the new wood hauler!
