The rain finally stopped here for a while so I decided to head to the forest. Ended up cutting about a cord of Ash. Need to dress my bar though. Guess it's time to order some stuff from baileys!

I'm off to the deer blind now. This is my favorite time of year. Cool weather to cut and animals to eat! LOL

Cut another face cord or so tonight after work. Spent my B-day working! Got some wood out of it though! Just got home. Been a long day. Going to try to cut another load tomorrow night too. Need to get going now the cool weather is here. I've already put back a dozen cord or more.

From the replies here, do you guys not have much Ash to cut? It's all over here and sadly most of it is dead or dying. I live inside the boundaries of the Manistee National Forest. It's chock full of firewood. Only limited by permits from the Feds.

I've got a good bit of ash mixed in with my 22 cords. No EAB around here yet but most of mine came from a farm that we cleared for tillable ground.

The forest I cut in just doesn't seem to have much ash in it, lot of elm and oak though
