When I get a pile of Hickory that was dead standing. I had to crop out some

Hickory is one that I rarely see standing dead. Good score.

 

Come to think of it I have never seen one this big die. It might have been bombarded with 2-4D. I know the area gets a healthy dose to keep brush and ivy down.

This area was empty for a month
I was forced to process some of my limb wood piles until I could get some big saw stuff back in stock. Time to dust off the XS saws

Very nice, sir. I like that hickory when the bark is just getting loose. Pops of easy in big slabs. Makes some beautiful splits.
