Good morning, ya'll. Hope ya'll have a TREMENDOUS THURSDAY. 74⁰/98⁰ sunny, hot and dry. Had to come work 6AM-6PM shift today, coworker had emergency dentist appointment today. Surgery went fine on SIL, then she had trouble with her O2 levels, chest x-ray was ugly, Dr said. So Miz Carol spent the night at the hospital with her, I luckily found a friend to drive 60+ miles to come get me, didn't want to leave Miz Carol stranded without a car. They are coming home later today.
The guy from N GA is supposed to come down tonight to see about trapping some hogs.

Morning all. Overcast fog that should burn off. Smoke in the air but very lightly. Turns out there were lightening strikes down the spine of the island south of us so a few fires burning in of course inaccessible places.

I got down and chipped quite a bit of the brush I had cut down the other day. Once it is dry, it chips fairly easily. My goal is to get it all down and keep at it when new growth appears. In my dreams. Reality says it will probably take over the yard before I get to it again.

Still working on packing the trailer, hope to get more chipped today and whatever shows up to distract me.

Damp and cool start. 61⁰/77⁰ morning showers.

My brother and wife are heading our way for a couple of nights. The 4 of us will be heading to my cousins beach house tomorrow. I'm making potato salad to take. Cooking potatoes and eggs today. Final chopping and assembly, in the morning.

I got half of the cellular blinds order yesterday. I began installing them within minutes of arriving. I hope the other half of the order arrives today.

 

Yup, happens every year. Still too early for me to begin hauling wood into the basement though.

I have resumed my cutting of dead ash trees-finally. Yesterday, I dropped 4 small ones. The day before, it was 3. Of those 3, only one of them landed where I intended!

My laptop has a button on the Favorites bar. It's kinda the long way around the barn, but at least I can go where I want...So far.

 

Good morning, ya'll. Hope ya'll have a FABULOUS FRIDAY. Goat Town Weather Channel says it's 75⁰ now, heading towards 94⁰, 70% chance of rain later. Thought we would be setting up hog traps this morning, but looks like the guy is a no-show......
So I guess we will check/change a few teef on the stump grinder, maybe move and cut some hickory for a shed.
Nap when it gets hotter...start a long stretch of 6PM-6AM shift tonight
