    Great score.

Not too long ago a kid ( 12-14y/o) on ebike was killed running into the back of a trailer being towed that was stopped at a light. People were all up in arms and going after the driver, trying to cancel him. When he was just sitting obeying traffic laws. Wtf? Lunacy

E-scooters are a epidemic here in our area that travel 50mph on main roads, mostly young kids with no helmets either!! It's bad! And it's just a matter of time til something horrible happens.

It's happening here...over n over. Kids, adults, doesn't seem to matter.
I think we have more e-bikes and scooters around here due to the Amish...seems like they ALL have them.
I hate trying to pass one...too slow to follow, too fast to easily pass sometimes...and you just never know when they are going to dart/turn in front of you! A couple months back there were two killed in about the same area, on the same day!

When you were young it was legal for the driver to run you over, plus those early 1900 era Model A's didn't go very fast! :quad:

On scores like that I am always afraid to take the bad stuff first in case some other guy comes and takes just the good stuff. You want to take the good stuff first but then the old lady is afraid you'll stick her with the bad stuff.

I have some punky doug fir this year to burn from logs in a load I bought that were too old. Not sure how fun it will be to burn the punk. Some went to the landfill/compost yard.

Oh and I ride bicycles and call the ebike people fakers. Did a little 11 mile ride this weekend at one of those "rails to trails" things it was a relatively steep grade and I was getting passed by fat girls on ebikes drinking coffee going uphill near 20 mph not pedaling at all. I like motorcycles too and carry the endorsement but be honest, a motorized bike is a motorcycle.

E-bikes are here as well. Flying through intersections without a thought

Sometimes they're the windshield. Other times, they're the bug with no helmet.

Not too many seen here. Teens with dirt bikes doing wheelies down busy state highways are the local problem.

I don't mind sharing the road but they have to obey the same traffic laws I do. I don't feel sorry when stupid people do stupid things.

Don't get me started on this, many issues in Cleveland with gangs of dirt bike/atv riders with street takeovers. I work in the city and am happy that I carry!

    Agreed!
But yet our rails to trails don't allow motorized vehicles...so why did I just get passed by a "fat girls on ebikes drinking coffee going uphill near 20 mph not pedaling at all"?!?!

The problem I have with it is they are almost silent, often give no warning before passing...if my family/myself gets injured by that scenario, I'm gon be one PO'd papa bear!

Get to thinking about this a bit more...why are these things any different than a moped?! Many e-bikes will go faster than many mopeds, but you have to be at least 14, pass a test, and pay for a license to operate a moped on the road!!
There has been some kid (I dunno, late teens, early twenties?) riding up/down our busy road (commuting to/from work?) on an electric minibike/motorcycle...like one of those old school mini bikes from the 70/80s...just a frame with a small engine and a couple tires n a seat bolted on...very basic. But this bike has very little lighting, the dude is wearing a dark backpack, and has long black hair (usually wearing headphones) he really blends in with the road, and is only going maybe 20mph...but traffic here runs 55-60 normally...he is a rolling hazard!! If I'm ever out by the road and see him coming in time to flag him down I'm gonna ask him if he realizes how hard he is to see?!

In my state, an ebike is defined as a bicycle so long as it meets some requirements regarding max speed and power so an ebike follows the laws of a bike. Including the ability to ignore the “no motorized vehicle” signs.

so they’re capped at 20 mph but that’s really fast when they go 20 constantly and silently. A regular bicycle with somewhere to be averages about 10 mph. Slower on hills.

Those fat girls with the 1000 calorie coffee drinks could use a little pedal time!

Yesterday, I saw one of those electric scooters zipping down the highway. Facing into traffic on the paved shoulder.

But, it wasn't a kid. Probably around 40 ish guy. :picard:

I still think the larger problem by far are the bicyclists. :handshake:
