    I had a bunch of off spec SS door kicks from a job so I used them. Probably 304 stainless. I painted them satin grey same as the color of the fence on the next door neighbor side. Bright SS would have looked a little garish.

    Garish and gaudy are synonyms so we are in the same ballpark. Have no idea in the dark past where I picked it up. Never lived in Jersey. AI says it is used all over the US and UK and AI is always right! Right?
