    Nice day ahead. 58⁰/82⁰ sunny low humidity. Dewpt 50⁰

    I got some trigger time yesterday, making woodstove lengths out if the wood that was "rescued" last weekend. Today, I'll get it split and stacked.

    We have a french drain that empties between the house and the street that's being rebuilt. I need to locate the end of it and flag it so there's no surprises when excavators show up.

    Forecasters say we'll be blessed with dewpoints in the 70's today. Sounds more like a curse to me. Even the temp has started bad with the overnight low of 70. Methinks the air conditioner will most likely be used today. Actually I have used it very little this summer. There have been a couple days I turned it on around 6:00 pm and then shut it off around 9:00pm. That keeps the electric bill down and with the house being mostly shaded all day the house stays relatively cool.

    The guy is retired from GDOT, and he's bought a sawmill. He has been custom sawing for folks and he is going to build a house. He's fixing to build a kiln to dry his lumber.

    Morning all. Overcast and fog which should burn off by this afternoon.

    A bit of a surprise yesterday afternoon when the whole north end of the island lost power. It was supposed to be back on by 8:00 PM but it is now 10:00 AM the next day and still no power. ETA is 12:eek:o noon. I have two generators running. One for the freezer and fridge and the other most important one is for the internet, computers and TV. We have to watch the Blue Jays game this morning.

    We have a small battery backup for campinspecter's CPAP machine and seeing as it not cold out, we didn't need to run generators for heat last night. If it goes on another day, we will have to run the boiler for hot water. We had a planned outage last Wednesday night for four hours as they have been updating equipment. Another one is planned for September.

    Anyway, I hope everyone has a great day.

    Mid 40's overnight. 99 lbs joked yesterday that it's time to get some firewood hauled into the basement. Meh, not quite yet.

    74/93........still way too hot, but an improvement over last week.

    Planning to do stuff today......idk what, but it'll be something.....there's auction garbage to unload, beef to cut, logs to saw, shop stuff that needs doing, and maybe need to meet up with a fella who wants a shop built.
