We had some pretty nasty storms come through last night and cull all the weak trees. The top of a maple broke out and landed on my goat fence out at the property so I had to work on that this AM. I need to haul the tractor out to lift the woven wire...it was too stiff to do it by hand.

Supposed to maybe get another round today. Hope not.

I am getting ready for fall, loving these nights in 50° temps as those are good working outside temperatures.. most of our rain coming in afternoon as temperatures rise

Yeah. I've been seeing some nasty pictures with strong winds. Bad stuff.

I will be happy to see cooler temps as I have more splitting and stacking to do. When that is done the saw will earn it's keep...if I am still able.

I cut up the pile of pine logs that my neighbor put on my lawn on Monday after work. It was humid, but in the upper 60's. I sweated a ton, but I got the job done. It's in rounds and off the lawn. I mowed last night.
I forget if I posted a pic of it before I cut it up . Here it is possibly again

Zero pitch, but I think it's because this tree was dead for probably 2 years. I'll wait to split it up until it gets cooler out, but I'll see if there's any pitch oozing from the fresh cuts in the next few weeks.

We got hammered with storms yesterday evening. We fared well but most of my neighbors got trees tore up.

Heavy rain over night and more on the way. 2" so far since midnight and we'll probably get that much more before noon the way things are looking.

This place is just a couple minutes walk from me, I'd often wondered what it was like inside...

$199,900. Not bad I guess, it's certainly a quality finish, though taste is subjective. I'd have done the landscaping a little different and built a garage instead of that little shed.

I brought old thick plastic tubular hangers on my move. New ones flimsy and break.
