Well, the pigs have found the nut grass in the adjacent food plot.
Our tower stand is just behind us in the picture, it's about 80 yds from it to the persimmon tree in this picture 20260729_151802.jpg
This plot is 'b" shaped, the long leg is 200 yds from stand to the end. They haven't made it that far...yet... 20260729_151923.jpg
We rode through the plot late Sunday evening and went back Monday morning to show grandsons the damage they can do...look close and see how much of the SxS tracks are gone... 20260803_125922.jpg
I checked around, had some offers to come shoot some, which would get some and drive others to somebody else's place, trapping service wanted $125 set up fee and $20/pig. We decided to build a corral trap , need to bait the area up. Bought 100# of corn and got 2 grandsons to help make some pig surprise.

Got 5 buckets brewing...cherry and black cherry flavored...it was bubbling nicely this morning. 20260803_124858.jpg
I'll get more pics when trap is built

Hopefully you get them all cleaned out & others around you are doing the same.

So do the trapped hogs get hauled off to the gators, relocated ( I hope not ) or just become buzzard chow?

Offers to choot ‘em , as in we will do it for free or we will charge you to choot ‘em ?

Are you concerned that with baiting them there will potentially be a continuing draw for them, possibly ruining your deer season ?

Once that corn concoction gets in the ground will there be saturation effect, the swine will be able to smell it & come back for several seasons ?

Are you planning on setting up any type of trail cam/monitoring devices ?

Curious to see your set up & results.

I am currently bidding on a tractor over around Louisville, if that materializes I will right in your backyard when picking up.

    I really like RJ’s shirt.

When we catch some, they will be dispatched and buried. I have made sausage before, but with hot weather now, don't want to fool with it. I don't think the smell will linger long and if any show up during deer season...that's a bonus.
I need to see if I can find the one trail cam that MIGHT still work. We need to get some updated ones.
If you get the tractor, give me a holler. Louisville is about 30 or so miles from home.

The pigs have been coming in about every night, found a good deal on 2 cell cameras at Walmart yesterday morning. Got them set up, put out some corn...scattered some, then dug a post hole and poured over 1/2 a bucket in it... 20260806_093004.jpg
They found it early this morning 016578001880936-100-2-08072026034526-V-SYFW00095.jpg

This one is in the post hole...lol...
With this long snout, I believe she could reach the bottom of a 6' hole... :rofl:  016578001880936-100-2-08072026044503-V-SYFW00147.jpg

Those pig trapping videos are addictive. When I first saw this thread it sent me on a late night YouTube binge. The damage they cause is crazy.
