I would say a strong 1/3 cord, splits and chunks and yes, he will use it in his smoker. I split it early June last year. Yes, I could have gotten more (maybe) selling by the wheelbarrow but did not want to deal with the hassles. Not positive when he will pick it up as I told him it was safe here and he did not have to take it all at once. Did throw in that I could deliver it but won't break my heart if he picks it up. This is a picture from when I filled the tote.
So he got the heaping tote full? Very generous amount if so. Small amounts are a hassle, but I only save the primo and heartwood splits (on bigger rounds) for smoker bundles and in most cases they come here to purchase.
That’s definitely giving the customer good measure. My totes are touted to be a 1/3 of a cord but they don’t stick that far above the top rail.
I think he's getting a great deal and will free up a tote for me as I have a ton to split and nowhere to put most of it right now. I'll try to take some pictures tomorrow as I hope to get some splitting done. Most of my totes I consider a half cord as I over-fill them as much as I can get away with.
You need to take a trailer with you next time you go back to Greeley ( or is it Spaulding?). It shouldn’t be too hard to score a bunch of totes in that country.

It is excellent for smoking. Small volume sales can add up, but in my two plus years selling it, its a slow seller by the bag or bundle. Selling on Facebook marketplace for me anyhow. IINM she did sell it to a smoker customer. Welcome to the FHC chain saw guy Great to have you!
Years back I used to sell it $35 wheelbarrow load, as much as I could fit, and did okay until I found out a neighbor burned most of it in his woodstove over the winter. I was a little upset but not sure if I told him not to burn it so I got over it, plus he did enjoy it. Quit selling it after that, until I got this wood and I was planning on burning it next season. Be glad if he does come get it.
Because he had free access to my wood but was only taking the "easy to reach from over the fence" instead of emptying the racks set up for him. Water under the bridge now.
I understand your position, but he was a good guy and I wish him no ill will. Yes, I was upset and made we change my view about selling smoking wood, but most of that was due to the people who want it for free or reduced price and then don't even bother to show up when they say they will. At least my wood helped him and his wife stay warm for a few years before she passed away and he moved on. Not trying to jump on you, just thought you should hear the rest of the story.
