Any one have a Vermeer LS-200 log splitter? Since my dad worked at Vermeer and remembers when they were built back then. He would talk about how he really liked them and would like to have one. Took me over 10 years to find one in decent condition within a reasonable distance. Got it fixed up and been using it for 3 years. Those machines are built like a tank! And will split thru anything.

Looks like a Wisco, I think. The Vemeers are kinda rare...like the Rayco splitters...don't see those too much either. The were competitors in the commercial stump grinder market.
Ever seen a Biljax (famously known for scaffolding lol)? I only have because my work bought a couple to rent out. Oddly enough they do not go horizontal. Either angled or vertical. I have used one before and they aren't bad except for the 'safety lever' that must be pulled to get cylinder pressure. A bungee takes care of that mostly. Plus side is that they are easily moved by hand being fairly light weight, unlike the monsters that Rayco constructed.
Not bad. But I just bought a new one so am all set. Now If I could get some updates on this body then I could get more work done...
That's why I was inquiring. Sure looks like an old Wissy from the pic. Forgot the older Kohlers. Both solid from what I know.
Yes. The Vermeer splitters are hard to find. They were not big sellers back then. Mine is a year 1975.
