A few upgrades to Big Orange (L4802)

Thought I'd make a separate thread for some upgrades we have done for the Kubota. I have posted some before, but forgot where...
We got a 3pt to QA adapter...
Since we had rear remotes added when we bought the tractor, we added a hydraulic top link...
We got a QA mount plate and added it to the counterweight...our friend, Steve doing the welding

Forks and grapple can both be used at the same time...
As most know, the loader guard is open in the front, if any brush or tree work is done, it's very easy for a limb to go through the grill. A very good company in MI, Broken Anvil Metalworks, builds custom fit grills and guards to fit many different brand tractors. We ordered the front guard when we got the tractor...
That company started making side guards as well. We ordered them Monday morning and got the Wednesday, installed them last night...

We have 1 more guard that came today, I'll post info and pics when it's installed...

The other guard was here yesterday and we got it installed last night.
This is the factory guard, it's thin and only protects top and back...
The new guard is thicker metal and wraps around the hydraulic lines...

I installed one of the Broken Anvil guards back in 2021 and it's worked great. Was unaware that they started making the side guards. Might have to look into those as well.

A couple more add ons recently...
We replaced the chinesium 6" lights on the back (part of the ED'S had gone out) with Sylvania 6" Rugged series lights
Next we added a 12v power port, we want to add a camera system for stump grinder. Power screen and maybe camera

 

The camera system came in Saturday, got it put together and camera charged.
Put it on the tractor yesterday evening...made a couple tie-strap loops to hold power wire, probably use a rubber band to hold wire bundle to handle.

We'll need to hook up grinder to find the best view points.
Also when we're doing tree work with cages, Miz Carol can put the camera in front of the monitor to look upwards...

 

Awesome! Can't wait to hear how it works out. I decided not to get the stump grinder however I'm still toying with the idea of getting a camera.

We have cameras on the forks for high reach equipment at work...I've thought about putting a camera on my loader more than a few times. I just haven't figured out a good place to mount it where I won't tear it up.

 

An update on the camera system...
Did a couple jobs with the camera mounted on the grinder, I like the perspective of seeing the top of the stump when grinding.
It does get some debris thrown at the lens, so that has to be cleaned off. Also being mounted on the grinder, can't really tell how deep it's cutting, as it moves with grinder....
So we made bracket to mount camera on tow bar hitch...
It doesn't get as dirty, easy to see how much the grinder is cutting.
Just have to be careful when working a taller, big stump. We did a big stump like that in our son's yard today. I didn't get a beginning picture, this was about 2/3 done...
Worked it from all sides, the ground wasn't level, which made it more difficult...
But we got it done...

 

In dusty industrial applications we use an air knife to keep lenses and photo eyes clear. You could install a small 12V compressor to run one if you really wanted to get fancy.

Not an air compressor, but we did come up with 1 more upgrade......
Cut and drilled a piece of 1/4×3" flat stock and had my shift mechanic weld on a D ring. Now the strap or future chain tie down will work better. Before, the strap went over the loader guard, the corners were rubbing into the straps.

Edit...I did finish painting it after we put it on
