I made it through the heat and we did not hit 100 degrees. No doubt there were some spots that got that high. We were close at 98 but thankfully the dewpoint was not super high, but it was still hot.

The wildfire smoke is really bad today. Every summer the same.

Good morning, ya'll. Hope ya'll have a WONDERFUL WEDNESDAY. An absolutely nice morning of 78⁰ and cloudy, might get to 87⁰. Cooking dirt today, we'll see what happens this evening, thunderstorms every evening when I get off so for this week. Put gas in both mowers and new blades on the 61" Rebel. Grass is going crazy with the rain and temps. Miz Carol visited me while I ground a few chains, got a couple more to do.

Morning all. foggy this morning but will probably clear off to sunshine again. Yesterday was warm and sunny.

We don't get the really hot temps so when it hits 75 - 80F, everyone feels like it is 100F. If the west wind starts up in the afternoon, our temps drop way down.

Vacuuming the church is on the agenda and probably mowing our lawn this afternoon. Maybe some time in the sewing room. Always something to do.

    Everyone have a great day.

    Good morning, members.

Nice start to the day. 65⁰/83⁰ low humidity.

We bet a break from smoky air this morning. But, it returns this afternoon.

Taking mom for an eye appointment this morning. I'm glad there's better air

    Good morning, members.

A bit cooler today. 64⁰/82⁰ reasonable humidity. Dewpt 53⁰ sun/clouds mix. Still a bit of Smoky air. It worsens later today.

We had an oak branch fall last weekend. It's near the side street of the property. Some of the brush is on the edge of the street. I need to cut some of it back and find a place for the brush. Then, I'll need to look it over to determine the best way for me to deal with it. Guessing it's 7-8in in diameter and maybe 30ft in length.

At the time, I heard the noise from the fall, but didn't see where it was. I was driving on the street and came across it. An "ah-ha" moment. I won't spend much time dealing with it today. I just need to tidy it up, for now. It looks like it took out some small EWP trees. I'm expecting there is to be some spring-back tension to be aware of. I'll be cutting at arm's length. There's also briars to be aware of.

Not much planned after that. I'm not sure what Mrs MikeInMa has in mind for today. Maybe , we'll head out for a bite somewhere.

    Be safe
    Be healthy

    Good morning FHC

Been giving it heck on the sunroom. Just about have the T & G ceiling completed and one of two ceiling lights installed. That'll be finished today and then begin on the walls and trim out the window jambs. Haven't decided on a floor yet; carpet or laminate are the front runners as of now.

    Canada, we have to talk...........

North air is not that bad TJV; News is making mountains out of mole hill. It is still way less Smokey than a bar in the 80s.. probably less but closer to your camp ground if air is still you can smell smoke but it’s not burning your eyes type of thing

Good morning. Up early enough to hear the birds waking, but several bats were still zooming around the house. Great insect control. I has been way too hot to do much, so nothinhh to report.

It was more than the smell of smoke around here earlier this week. It was an acrid/trashy smell that did irritate eyes. The scent of a campfire would be nice, but not this stuff.

Truckaa took this picture Tuesday afternoon.

Count your blessings. Pray the crap we are getting does not come your way. It is terrible and even going to the mailbox is testy. Sometimes the smell is not too bad but other times It is really awful. We will be very happy when this ends.

Someone sent me a picture of the Mackinaw bridge. Visibility at the time was about the length of a football field. I am praying for a change of direction of the wind and some steady rain. I hope for downpouring rain at the fire sites.
