    Temps are confused this morning!

    The house just isn't cooling down overnight. Windows and doors open.....even have the top sash of the double hung windows lowered. I try not to run the AC overnight.

    T-storm this afternoon with winds and hail but no mention of temps dropping out of the 90's when it is going on. We'll see.

    I haven't ran the air conditioner since that last hot spell. That may change today or tomorrow. 58 right now.

    Mike, I made it okay. It was hot but the high reached only 98 :whistle: and the dewpoint stayed 70 and below. That made a big difference. Now we may have to contend with smoke from Canada fires. So far we are ok there and if we could get some west or SW wind the smoke would not reach us.

    Smoke from the fires near Thunder Bay is worse than yesterday. Everything is a surreal tinge of brown. Smell is almost eye watering
    Hasn't gotten quite as hot as forecast, 88ºF right now at 2PM. Was 92ºF earlier. Maybe from the smoke.

    Took a ride to Lake superior the other evening. Grabbed a couple cheeseburgers (excellent!) from a food truck and walked the dogs along the shoreline briefly, than back to the AC in the vehicle.

    It was 100 degrees! This was a night or two before the smoke.........

    Terrible here. Actually it is a little better (stress little) this morning but not good enough that I want to be outdoors. The only good thing is that the smoke is so thick it has kept our temperature down. I haven't even been running the air conditioner. Usually to do that I keep the windows open during the night when the air is cooler. Can't do that now but still keep the house air comfprtable.
