    G morning mission accomplished

my beautiful bride is generally an optimist and appreciative. Neighbors put horses in our front field, and she said they looked so pretty and liked apple treats, my bride smiled.. I am one that can get miserable and cranky

Yesterday I was going to get the mail. Thought I'd take trash out too as I keep the trash bucket out by the road. Just as I got to the straight section of the driveway I stopped quickly as there was a deer standing in the driveway. She was paying no attention to me for a while but looking at something else. I stood still for quite a while. She did look at me once then went back to studying whatever else she was looking at. Finally she casually walked off. I gave her a minute then continued my walk. Ha! There she was (or a different one) standing about 10-15 yards off the driveway. I decided to just continue walking and she just watched me. When I got to the road I dumped trash in bin and got the mail. She still just stood there.

Ok, so I thought that might be a good time to take a walk. Went to the corner and back (1/2 mile) then started up the driveway. I thought she was gone but as I got straight away from her I saw she had laid down right on the deer trail which runs along a fence. She just laid there and I did not stop. I love these encounters with the deer.

Good morning, ya'll. Hope ya'll have a SPECTACULAR SONDAY. Goat Town Weather Channel says it's 75⁰ heading to 92⁰, humid, chance of more thunderstorms this afternoon. Got 1" of rain over 2 days, maybe it's soaking in, I know the grass is loving it...:headbang:...
Going to church, then to Dublin with daughter and 2 grandsons to watch a movie.

Morning all. Overcast, possibly showers today.

Trying out the new trailer today and tomorrow. It is going to get the bearings repacked tomorrow and a new bed today. I hope the weather is better down island than here.

    Everyone have a great day.

My favorite deer story and you have been here and met the German shepherd; warm spring day snow still on the ground but in front of stove living room with southern exposure sits septic lines.
Momma deer with last year fawns eating new grass growth over it.
Lady, the shepherd, lost her mind went onto the deck and barked incessantly, momma deer new lady was no threat and grazed for hour.. Lady knows not to chase deer, wife thinks they are outdoor pets..

A shepherd losing her mind gave me a headache!

Good Morning. I don’t like the heat much either theburtman. There are some big rounds of Ash here at home to process, but not in this heat. I will be doing some light yard work and pulling the garlic here at the home garden today.

    Good morning, members.

One more nice day 64⁰/87⁰ low humidity. 90's and humid air returns tomorrow.

I have some yard cleanup to deal with this morning.

We may go to a window covering store. Some custom "shades" are in our future. Probably, some with remotes. Gonna have to open some buried jars of cash, I'm afraid. The end result will be less sun coming in, as well as better insulated against the cold.

    Be safe
    Be healthy

Mother Nature starts turning up the heat today. Sad, but prediction for today is 97, tomorrow 102 and Wednesday 96.

If my memory is right it has been around 30 years since we've seen 100 degrees here. Terrible temps.

Shades definitely make a difference. For example, I have not needed to run air conditioner for over a month. That will probably change later today. It is 60 now and a patch of rain is headed our way. It is coming from the north and I hope air keeps coming from thar direction, then we won't get sot hot...hopefully.

We have a south facing wall of windows, including 2 triangle-shaped windows.

There was an ash tree that provided lots of shade. That tree is now stacked in 16" pieces.

So, it's time to help both the AC and woodstove.
